Bijan’s 1C Opening             For every Minor Opening, finding major and if no major fit, minor or NT contracts all at the right level

 

Bijan’s Mini NT                    A disruptive and pre-empting 1NT opening with 8-10 points at first or second seats  with continuation for finding partnership’s correct contract and a mechanism to escape penalty double by opponents

 

FuN Defense to weak NT      An excellent defense against Weak or Mini NT openings allowing partnership to compete and find their correct contract, based on Mini NT continuation.

For Slam investigation

1430 RKCB                            To investigate slam in a Major, identifying number of aces as well as king and queen of the agreed suit.

 

1430 MinorWood                  To investigate slam in a Minor, identifying number of aces as well as king and queen of the agreed Minor suit and be able to sign-off at the game level if necessary. 

 

VoidWood                            Or exclusion Blackwood asking for Key Cards when one is void in a suit when investigating slam

CRO Gerber                          Ace asking when investigating slam

When partner opens 1NT or 2NT

Simple Stayman                    to find a 5-3 or 4-4 fit after strong 2NT  

Puppet Stayman                    to find a 5-3 or 4-4 fit after strong 2NT

 

DONT & Cappelletti             Popular bidding conventions over opponent's strong 1NT opening 

Lionel against 1NT               For use against opponent’s strong 1NT opening.  Unlike DONT and Cappelletti , which are based on distributional hands, this convention assumes that points are distributed and looks for 4-4 fit.

Defence to Gambling 3NT   When opponents open 3NT or 3S as gambling 3NT, opener have a solid 7 tricks in a minor

 

Defence to Weak 2s             Various bidding sequences including Lebensohl when opponents open a weak 2
